ended up rewriting the entire app from swiftui to appkit because it was impossible to get all the different toolbars right in swiftui.
Only three of the sidebar options are feature complete, the rest are pending cards now. But we’ve got the right architecture in place and, in theory, a consistent UX paradigm for handling them all…
Boy howdy it wasn’t part of my plan today to put so much work into this but I am getting pretty happy with how it’s looking.
top and bottom words need to be a bit further away but it’s not bad
Also another big update today is that I pulled the basic scratchpad out of the sidebar and it’s a standalone window now and if you have multiple commodore 64s you can send the program to any of them via a switcher.
I just keep messing with different icon styles now.

Used my app to drag over the latest C64 Ultimate firmware onto my USB stick and then used it to flash my device… and nothing exploded! Yeehaw.
